Historic Property Tours

Announcing the launch of a new site dedicated to the appreciation of historic buildings.  I will be toting my cameras around and capturing the beauty of historic properties as I get myself “invited” into these wonderful old buildings.  Please be sure to visit the “About” page to learn more about us.

Thank you for doing this. What a great idea! As much as I love Victorian furniture, my real passion is historic homes.

Nice house. It is nice to see majority of the design elements are still there. You have templates galore to reproduce the missing parts. Very lucky. Home Depot, just reality with some older homes. The good news the house was not torn down. Thanks for the tour

Thanks, guys. Please stay tuned. One of the houses in the near future will be a grand stone Georgian Revival.

great site look forward to seeing more homes… I would love to post my house to get feedback on it. It is a work in progress built in 1870 Italianate. Owned it now for two years.

What beautiful homes. Thank you for sharing. If you are ever in the Mpls St Paul area in the spring, check out the Mpls St Paul Home Tour. Homeowners open up their private historic homes for tours–usually the last weekend of April or first wknd of May. We put our previous home on the 2005 tour and had nearly 800 visitors over the weekend. It was a wonderful experience and we can’t wait for our current home to be ready for the tour.

I’d love to go to Mpls St Paul in the winter, actually. I’m a die-hard Vikings fan! If any photos come out when your house is on tour, we’d love to see them.

Great idea, well done, and I look forward to many more of these.

Nice to see a picture of “Widehall” in Chestertown, MD. Its plan is close to that of the demolished President’s House at 6th & Market in Phila.

Suggestion: More specific locations for the buildings would be useful.

Thanks, Ed. I will provide more specific locations going forward (and update past ones). Thanks for the feedback.
